Did you hear the news? CNN is going to host a town hall featuring former President Donald Trump on May 10th. The former president will field questions from New Hampshire Republicans and undeclared voters who say they will cast their ballots in November of 2024.
This will be the first town hall held by a declared presidential candidate, and it's interesting that Trump would choose to team up with CNN, especially after the fallout at Fox News after they parted ways with Tucker Carlson. The event will only be broadcasted to paid TV subscribers to CNN's platforms, but we can expect to see highlights of the town hall all over Youtube the following days.
It will be very interesting to see Trump face-to-face with voters for the first time since the 2020 campaign. Trump is likely to field questions pertaining to his Manhattan indictment, but he's already primed to respond that his indictment is the result of a political witch hunt. Tune in on May 10th at 9pm to see the town hall in its entirety. If you'd like to read more about the announcement, please read this article from The Post Millennial. CNN will host a presidential town hall featuring former President Donald Trump, the network announced on Monday.
“The event, hosted by ‘CNN This Morning' anchor Kaitlan Collins and airing at 9 pm EST on May 10, will feature the former president taking questions from New Hampshire Republicans and undeclared voters who plan to vote in the 2024 GOP presidential primary,” CNN said in a statement on Monday.
Trump is the leading candidate in the Republican nominee field, despite his indictment in Manhattan over alleged payments made during the 2016 campaign to porn star Stormy Daniels through his lawyer, Michael Cohen.
