In the filing of a Petition for Rulemaking, that Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti joined along with 20 other attorney generals, calling for the repeal of the federal vaccine mandate for healthcare workers, Skrmetti also claims that shots for Covid-19 don’t work as they do not prevent transmission.
Skrmetti joined a coalition of 21 states in requesting that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) repeal the unlawful federal vaccine mandate for healthcare workers and withdraw related guidance.
“Evidence continues to mount that the ongoing mandate is an unprecedented overreach of the Federal government and has exacerbated shortages of healthcare workers in Tennessee and other states,” said Attorney General Skrmetti. “This office will relentlessly protect Tennesseans from federal overreach.”
Skrmetti signed on to the Petition which states in part:
Studies show that the compelled vaccination of millions of healthcare workers will not meaningfully limit COVID transmission. And Pfizer never tested the vaccine to determine if it was effective at preventing transmission.
