Supreme Court stands behind conservative Justices

I wouldn't blame you for not seeing this story burried in the news last week, but all nine Supreme Court Justices issued a statement last week that admonished liberals for targeting conservative members of the Court for harrassment.

Specifically, the Court reiterated that they stand behind Justices Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas, and the Chief Justice John Roberts against the illegal harrassment carried out by far-left protesters. In case you weren't aware, it's illegal to plan or make an assassination attempt against a member of the Supreme Court, no matter how they align politically.

You may remember that 3 Justices were targeted in assassination plots last year, which was the result of increased harrassment campaigns against conservative Justices. The letter specifically stated, “Judges at all levels face increased threats to personal safety. These threats are magnified with respect to Members of the Supreme Court.”

The final issue addressed in the statement was from Chief Justice John Roberts, who said that he would not attend a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee because it was another attempted witch hunt and had nothing to do with the Supreme Court's job. The Judiciary Committee was most likely wanting to admonish the Justices for holding conservative beliefs, instead of having a real reason to talk to the Supreme Court Chief Justice on the record.

It seems that there's no end to the political witch hunt that Democrats are carrying out, including at the highest court in the land. If you'd like to read more about the Supreme Court's statements, please read this article from The Daily Wire. An excerpt of the article has been copied below:

The letter then laid out how justices deal with a variety of issues that they face some of which have been included in recent left-wing attacks on Justices Roberts, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch.

The Associated Press reported that the apparent message contained in the unanimous letter from the justices “though not expressly stated, is that the court unanimously rejects legislation proposed by Democrats seeking to impose on the justices the same ethics obligations applied to all other federal judges.”

The letter also addressed recent threats against justices, which reached a fever pitch last year when a leftist reportedly attempted to assassinate up to 3 conservative justices.

“A word is necessary concerning security. Judges at all levels face increased threats to personal safety,” the letter said.
