Earlier this month, PayPal planned to implement “misinformation” fines of $2,500 through their platform. The company immediately faced hoards of users pulling their funds and blasting the company, to which PayPal responded that the policy was, actually, a mistake. Just some misinformation.
Yesterday, a couple of weeks after all the ruckus had died down, PayPal quietly brought back the policy.
It’s hard to believe, right? After losing so much business already and being attacked from both the right and the left, the company is still determined to play speech police to the American people.
That is a values-driven decision, not a financial one.
So who’s going to fine PayPal for this stream of misinformation? YOU. Don’t wait for another fakeout, delete your account today.
