Multiple celebrities have expressed their support for Lizzo after the music artist announced on Friday she decided to “quit” on her social media.

In a post made on Instagram, Lizzo expressed that she is “getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone” in her life and on the internet.”

“All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it,” Lizzo’s post read.

“I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look,” Lizzo stated on her Instagram account with the username “Lizzo be eating.”

“I didn’t sign up for this sh*t. I QUIT,” she concluded.

Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Queen Latifah and Todrick Hall rushed to support the singer.

“We love you queen,” commented Paris Hilton.

“This is the absolute truth. Hold your head up. The people who shout the loudest or the people who are the most insecure,” actor Josh Gad wrote in response to Lizzo's post.

“F that do U,” added Queen Latifah.

The announcement of Lizzo’s departure from the music industry coincides with legal troubles that she is currently facing. Last fall, the singer was sued by three ex-dancers who accused her of creating a hostile work environment, including allegations of sexual harassment.

Lizzo’s announcement also comes one day after the lawyer representing these ex-dancers called it “shameful” that she was asked to perform at a $25 million New York City fundraiser for President Joe Biden.

“It’s shameful that Lizzo would be chosen to headline an event like this amid such egregious allegations,” lawyer Ron Zambrano, said to NewsNation. “Without getting into the politics, I can't imagine why anyone would want Lizzo representing them in any way given her reprehensible behavior. It's just a terrible look.”
