McDonald’s CEO Exposes Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago to be a Violence-Ridden, Failed City

While speaking at the Economic Club of Chicago on Wednesday, McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski begged for help from the “public sector,” or in other words the Government, to solve Chicago’s increase in violent crime.

“Everywhere I go, I’m confronted by the same question. ‘What’s going on in Chicago?' There is a general sense out there that our city is in crisis,” Kempczinski said, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“The truth is, it's more difficult today for me to convince a promising McDonald's executive to relocate to Chicago from one of our other offices than it was just a few years ago,” he explained. “It's more difficult for me to recruit a new employee to McDonald's, to join us in Chicago, than it was in the past,” he added.

“We see every single day in our restaurants what’s happening at society at large. It’s not going to be something that McDonald’s can solve on its own. We need to be able to do it with the public sector as well,” Kempczinski said.

Since the beginning of 2022, there have been a terrifying 479 murders, 33 percent higher than 2019. Robberies have increased 18 percent; burglaries are up 28 percent; thefts have skyrocketed 65 percent, and car theft has boomed 66 percent.

Chicago’s mayor, Democrat Lori Lightfoot, is currently begging President Joe Biden to “step up” and provide federal funding to help with their illegal alien problem. The federal government has to step up. I was in Washington, DC, last week talking with members of Customs and Border Patrol, National FEMA, ICE, and DHS,” Lightfoot said. “And they must do that, and they must do that soon,” she demanded.

When President Donald Trump was in office, Lightfoot – who is currently begging for federal support – rejected support from Trump, and said Trump should develop “moral courage.”

“Please stop with the rhetoric and find the moral courage to simply support the needed actions listed above: enact common-sense gun laws, partner with our law enforcement actors through providing investigative resources, deliver on community-based resources for public safety, and invest in our neighborhoods and residents,” Lightfoot wrote to Trump.

Donald Trump, a known McDonald’s lover, spent much of his time recovering from COVID in 2020 eating McDonald’s, Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, revealed. “McDonald’s Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, fries and a vanilla shake,” Kushner reportedly said. “[O]ne reason why he liked to eat at McDonald’s — nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely premade,” author Michael Wolff wrote in his book.

And, of course, you can’t forget the time Trump even served fast food, including McDonald’s, to the Clemson Tigers and North Dakota State Bison when they visited the White House to celebrate their victories in 2019.
