Radio personality and TV host Lenard Larry McKelvey, better known as “Charlamagne Tha God”, stunned his audience Friday when he called Flordia Governor Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) move to send illegal immigrants to liberal utopia Martha's Vineyard “genius.”
“For months, Republican governors have sent busloads of illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities like New York, DC, and Chicago with the message of ‘if you like them so much, they're yours.'” Charlamagne said. “Well, just in time for Hispanic heritage month Florida Governor Ron DeSantis upped the game by sending two planes full of immigrants to the East Coast elites' favorite vacation Island — Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.”
Charlamagne then offered his assessment of the Governor's execution of the plan:
“I personally think it's genius. But I wish that Governors like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott would give Democratic Governors and Mayors more of a heads-up, because that would expose the hypocrisy of the Democrats, which is, they don't want immigrants here either”

This is not the first time Charlamagne has attacked the liberal establishment. He parted with conventional wisdom during a July interview with the View. He famously asked Kamala Harris who the real President was — Joe Biden or Joe Manchin.
Biden's incompetence at passing his legislative agenda is clear as day, even if he has passed a number of America Last, America Worst bills. Just imagine how bad America would be right now if Biden has any instincts when it comes to negotiations! More importantly, when Charlamagne was asked to follow up on that question during an interview with the View, he did not back down.
“She [Kamala] didn’t really give an answer, But I mean as you can see, it still seems like President Manchin is currently running this country, and I think that was – you know, in hindsight, people thought I was being harsh by asking that question, but now it’s, like, well, damn. Who is running this country? Is it President Biden or President Manchin?”
All in all, while Charlamagne's critique of Biden and the Democrats is from a liberal perspective, it is still a welcome addition. From wherever you sit on the political spectrum, Biden and the liberal elites have failed you. The American people and Charlamagne himself just want a free and open discussion about their failures.
