Democrat Congressman Scrambles to Defend Biden After Classified Document Scandal, Floats Conspiracy Theory

Following the uncovering of classified documents stored in two different locations, President Biden's Delaware home and the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., Democrats have scrambled to come up with a response.

One Democrat, Rep. Hank Johnson (R-GA), has attempted to craft a conspiracy theory that the classified documents were planted in the two locations in order to frame the 46th president, according to Fox News reporter Hillary Vaughn.

While Johnson made the outlandish claim, in his official statement he seemed to leave out his theory.

“It is refreshing to see the Department of Justice restored from its politicization during the Trump years, and I applaud Attorney General Garland for acting swiftly in appointing a special counsel to investigate the Biden document discoveries,” the Georgian said. “Based on what we know, there is a big difference between the Trump and Biden document cases.”

The congressman then went on to argue that the classified documents found at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort are an “open and shut case” and should “proceed without delay to a final and just resolution.”

“There remains much we don’t know about the Biden document discoveries, and it’s too early to reach any conclusions,” Johnson argued. “I am confident, however, that the process has begun to ensure that we get to the truth, and that justice will be done.”

Johnson is infamous for some of his other theories as well. Back in 2011, the congressman suggested that the U.S. territory of Guam, an island in the south Pacific, would “tip over and capsize” due to too high a population.

The congressman has also called for packing the Supreme Court by adding four additional justices.

It seems like Rep. Johnson is far more lenient on Biden for his own political purposes. In attempting to defend him he developed a theory that exonerated Biden from any responsibility while continuing to call for accountability for Trump. The contrast shows a distinct picture of hypocrisy at work.
