“So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”” – Matthew 1:22-23
“Once in our world, a stable had something in it that was bigger than our whole world.” -C.S. Lewis
“At this Christmas when Christ comes, will He find a warm heart? Mark the season of Advent by loving and serving the others with God's own love and concern.” -Mother Teresa
The last quote by Mother Teresa reminds us that Christ will come in two ways this Christmas: to be born in the manger, and to be born in our hearts. We want Christ to be in us and to have communion with Him!
So let’s prepare our hearts, like Mother Teresa said, by loving and serving those around us. If you have family you don’t quite get along with, or difficult in-laws, or frustrating neighbors— count it a blessing and an opportunity to prepare yourself for Christ.
