Bye bye Don Lemon

Apr 6, 2023 | True Patriot News Daily

We all know that cancel culture is a malignant tumor on American society, but today it appears that it's finally coming home to roost for one of the biggest names at CNN: Don Lemon. The news show host was the focus in a hit-piece from Variety magazine, where he was accused of such heinous crimes such as name-dropping, allegedly aggressive texts, and winning a few lawsuits.

Although none of these actions broke any official rules for CNN news anchors, it seems that the media company is making an excuse to oust the host of Don Lemon Tonight, which wasn't enjoying high ratings in the first place. This just goes to show that anyone can be cancelled for any reason, and if you haven't done anything outright wrong or immoral, they can make up a reason to cancel your career.

It's just like Lavrentiy Beria, the infamous USSR head of the secret police said, “show me the man, and I'll show you the crime.” Of course, this time Lemon is only losing his career at CNN, not his life. Among his many “crimes”, Don Lemon is accused of being a diva on set, which doesn't exactly surprise me. It also doesn't surprise me that CNN and the liberal media have persistently tried to cancel Lemon. This demonstrates how no one is safe from the woke mob, and they will eventually come for us all (unless you're a conservative, then you've already committed the ultimate sin).

Even so called scandals from 15 years ago, like dating a subordinate in a consensual relationship that didn't interfere with work, will be used as cannon fodder in the efforts to destroy someone's career. If you'd like to read more about the imminent firing of one of CNN's worst news anchors, please read this article from Breitbart. An excerpt of the article has been copied below:

Based on Variety’s headline and resulting social media storm, you get the impression that this story is the kill shot that will end Lemon’s CNN career. And it might very well be that kill shot. But it’s still a big, fat nothingburger that doesn’t live up to the headline.

I would break the article down this way: It’s one-third stuff we already knew, one-third speculation, and one-third people pretending to be offended over absolutely nothing.

Here’s the Variety’s anti-science headline: “Don Lemon’s Misogyny at CNN, Exposed: Malicious Texts, Mocking Female Co-Workers and ‘Diva-Like Behavior.’”

To begin with, the “malicious texts” are only speculated to have come from Lemon. Moreover, the alleged incident happened all the way back in 2008. The whole episode is framed under the assumption Lemon disliked his then-co-host Kyra Phillips only because she’s a woman. There’s no proof of that. Then we’re told he sent her a cryptic text that read, “Now you’ve crossed the line, and you’re going to pay for it.”
