At the core of the tragedy in Uvalde last week, was there a gun problem or a people problem?
As with all things, we find that we have a people problem. A young, troubled, at-risk man, living with his grandmother, devoid of any positive influence or father figure in his life… The people problems of the tragedy run deep.
The left, however, will have you convinced that it is merely a gun problem – that if we try hard enough, bad people will simply have no means by which to enact violence.
Canada is on track to unroll the most extreme gun control measure ever seen in the West – a halt of all handgun purchases, and government buybacks. Will that solve the problem – either the gun or the people problem?
